Services honoring the life of Helen Springer Craig, 73, of Mansfield will be held today at 10 a.m., Oct. 8 at Kilpatrick’s
Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield. Officiating will be the Rev. Jimmy Price and assisted by Bro. Dennis Kates. Interment
will follow in the Cassell Cemetery in Converse. Mrs. Craig was born in Converse to L.B. Springer, Sr. and Maybelle Tatum Springer. She was a member of Benson Baptist Church where she served as pianist and also served on the cemetery committee of Cassell Cemetery. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play all types of sports. Mrs. Craig loved taking care of people, she was an avid Coca- Cola collector and her greatest joy was her husband and family. Preceding her in death are her parents; son, Rod Crai g; brothers, L.B. Springer, Jr. and Amos Springer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Joe Craig; daughter, Ginger Craig and husband, Kelley Lee, of Coushatta; sister, Bertha Cowdin of Grand Cane; daughter-in-law, Donna Craig; grandchildren, Darrah Craig, Toby Chamberlin, Misti Tanner, Taylor Lee, and Tanner Lee; great grandchildren, Bailey Chamberlin, Morgan Chamberlin, Eli Tanner and Ali Masri and a special friend, Ryone “Ronni” Palmer. Serving as pallbearers will be Eugene Cowdin, Jr., Greg Cowdin, Jeff Jagneaux, Kenneth Craig, Kerwin Craig, Kirk Jagneaux, Clint Craig, Brad Craig and Chris Burr.
