Della Ree Jackson, 84 of Peoria Ariz., passed away Sept. 4, 2014. Della was born in San Augustine, Texas on Jan. 14, 1930 to William Bonnie and Lucy Jane (Landrum) Lightfoot. As a young child, her family moved to Many where she grew up on the farm. Memorial services were held Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City Ariz. Della married Lt. Dale Ethan Jackson on June 4, 1948 and to this union was born three children, Linda, Dale Jr. and Judy. During their time in the Air Force, they had homes in South Dakota, Bermuda, Texas, Illinois, California and Virginia. After retiring from the military, they had homes in Sioux Falls, S.D., Wichita Kan. and Sun City, Ariz. Della is survived by her children, Linda and husband, Homer Creager, Dale Jr. and Judy and husband, Richard, Gates; five grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and one sister, Barbara Guynes. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Opal Williams and Bernice McComic; brothers, Arlest and Burton and grandson, Daniel Jackson. Della had great faith and confidence that not only was her life blessed by the Lord but her eternal life was secured by Christ at the cross. She prayed for her family, friends and others that they would come to that same
understanding and comfort
