Funeral services honoring the life of Danny Ray Waters, 61, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Converse, with the Rev. Randy Parker officiating. Burial followed in Converse Cemetery. Danny was born in Shreveport to Jessie and Leona Spear Waters and passed away in Converse. Danny proudly serviced his country in the US Army. Preceding Danny in death were his father, Jessie Golden Waters and brothers, Jerry Waters, Jim Waters and Jay Waters. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Waters; mother, Leona A Bates; sons, Jason Waters and wife Tammy and John Cooper and girlfriend, Dakota; daughter, Leesa Cooper; sister, Judy A. Tisdell and husband, Wayne; brothers, David E. Waters and wife, Rhonda, and Steve A. Waters; grandchildren Peyton Waters, Halie Waters, Leah Waters, Jasmine Cooper, Justina Cooper, Johnna Cooper and Anthony Cooper; and great grandchildren Samantha Stiles and Kaleb Stiles
