A funeral mass honoring the life of Charles Glenn Jones 71, of Zwolle was held on Thursday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Timothy C. Hurd officiated and Deacon Jerry Daigle assisted. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends at the church on Wednesday, July 9. A rosary and vigil service was held.
Glenn was born in Porter, Texas on Jan. 5, 1943. He entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2014 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle. He was employed by the Sabine Parish School System for 30 years. He was also employed by St. Joseph Catholic Church in maintenance for a number of years as well as doing mechanic work in his spare time. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, C.H. and Aleece Bass Jones; sons Byron Dean Jones and Charles “Chuck” Jones; and sister Helen Jones. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Doris Ezernack Jones of Zwolle; children Karen Jones Barnhill and husband, Dwayne of Montgomery, Texas, Tim Jones and wife, Suzanne, of Lake Charles; Melissa Jones of Alexandria; grandchildren Kerry Jones, Ashley
Rivers, Kaitlyn Barnhill, Destiny Barnhill, Byron Jones, Nick Jones; sisters Shirley Ezernack and husband, Dalton of Zwolle; Mildred Moore of Mansfield; Brenda Ezernack and husband, Wayne, of Noble; brothers Wayne Jones and wife, Shirley, of Zwolle; Johnny Jones and wife, Dianne, of Round Rock, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
