Funeral services for Gerald Moore, 67, of Many were held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with Bro. Glynn Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Bethsadia Cemetery in Zwolle. Visitation was held on Friday, May 23, 2014, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Gerald Moore was born on Saturday, Oct. 26, 1946 in Norfolk, VA. He passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Life Care Hospital in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Moore; brothers, William Moore, Johnny Moore, Willie E. Moore and Laurence Moore. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Louise Moore of Many; son, Gerald Moore, Jr. and wife, Dena of Many; daughter, Tina Hershberger and husband, Clint of Many; four grandchildren, Natalie McDonald, David Moore, Christian Meshell and Chase Hershberger; two step- grandchildren, Tyler and Brayden Hershberger; seven great- grandchildren; mother, Mary Moore of Zwolle, LA; seven sisters, Sue Stoker of Alvin, TX; Shirley Lowery of Joyce, LA; Nell Corley and Peggy Groves, both of Zwolle; Edna Johnson of Noble; Margaret Hamilton of Ft. Worth, TX and Alma Engles of Downsville, LA; one brother, Buddy Moore of Zwolle; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were David Moore, Roger Meshell, Jerry Lehr, Ivy Jackson, Louis Jackson and Stanley McDonald. Honorary pallbearers were Chase Hershberger and Daniel Lowery.
