Funeral services for Kenneth Lee Armstrong, 87, of Zwolle were held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Benny Crittenden, Rev. Allen Bynog, and Rev. Bobby Russell officiated. Interment followed in the Zwolle Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. Kenneth was born on August 6, 1926 in Zwolle. He entered into eternal rest at Toledo Retirement and Rehab on May 6, 2014. Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church of Zwolle. He worked many years as a roofer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Lee Armstrong and Florence Lula Bass Armstrong; wife, Reda Mae Armstrong, brothers, Preston, William, and LaMarion Armstrong; sister, Wanda Booth. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Ameal Armstrong and wife, Tammie of Zwolle, Jessie Dale Armstrong of Zwolle; daughters, Eddlis Inez Reeves and husband, Ray of Palestine, Texas, Reda Ann Tiller and husband, Jimmy of Channelview, Texas, Wanda Jean Mitchell of Cleveland, Texas, Edna Sue Jones and husband, George of Pahrump, NV, Jackie Faye Morehead and husband, Kenneth of Cleveland, Texas, and Sandy Lee Kimball and husband, Johnny, of Henderson, Texas; sisters, Sue Walraven of Stonewall, and Glennis Leone of Zwolle; brothers, David Armstrong and wife, Barbara of Zwolle, Doug Armstrong and wife, Jean of Joaquin, Texas, and Lavelle Armstrong and wife, Charlie of Keithville; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Honoring him as pallbearers were grandsons, Kenny Armstrong, Brian Armstrong, Bobby Mitchell, Phillip Cutrer, Ronnie Hoagland, and Jay Norris.
