Funeral services for Mattie Pauline Mizell, 99, of Many were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Mt. Olive
Cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Freeman officiating. Visitation was on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 5- 8 p.m. at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Mattie Pauline Mizell was born on Monday, July 6, 1914, in Rusk County, Texas. She passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Uriah Daniel (Jack) Mizell; three sons: Uriah Daniel Mizell, Jr., James Thomas Mizell and Wayne Dean Mizell; and her parents, Zack Henry Dorsey and Maggie Burns Dorsey. She is survived by her son, Bobbie Mizell of Kilgore, Texas; son, Roy Mizell and wife, Claudine, of Many; daughter, Shirley Horton and husband, Johnny, of Bonnerdale, Ark.; daughter, Jackie Holcomb and husband, Joe, of Many; son, Don Mizell and wife, Vickie, of Florien; daughters-in-law, Barbara Mizell of White Oak, Texas, and Lolette Mizell Allen of Robeline; sister, Ledell Carpenter of Kilgore, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Paul Mizell, Page Mizell, Garrett Thomas, Gabe Thomas, Payton Holcomb, Tanner Mizell, Dan Mizell and Randy Holcomb.
