Funeral services for Mildred Penny Gewin, 81, of Many, LA, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Alford Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Gibbs and Rev. Logan Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Many Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Alford Heights Baptist Church.
Mildred Penny Gewin was born on Monday, December 4, 1944 in Liberty, TX. She passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in Many, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Tanner and Edith (Penny) Tanner.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Gewin of Many, La; son, Marc Gewin of Shreveport, LA; brother, James “Butch” Tanner and wife Cheryl of Mico, TX; her two brothers-in-law, Clarence Gewin of Pleasant Hill, LA and Jack Gewin of Issaquah, WA; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Nathan Gewin, Matthew Gewin, Ben Gewin, Jayden Allen, Jason Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Paul Tims, and Todd Simmons.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, Many Cemetery or to a charity of your choice.
