Frances Anita Herrington, 86 was born on November 15, 1939. The majority of her life was spent in Sabine Parish. Anita passed away on March 3, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In recent years, she made her home with her daughter, Tammy and husband Troy, in Arlington, Texas. There she received the extra care she needed and enjoyed the nearness of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Katie (Davis) Eason; her brother, Wallace Eason; her sisters, Katie Mae Crunk and Hazel Gentry; her first husband Earl Westfall, her second husband Dalton Herrington as well as her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Lauren and CJ Davis.

She is survived by her loving children: Tammy (Westfall) Benthall and husband Troy of Arlington, Texas; Tina (Westfall) Good and husband Rudy of Fort Worth, Texas; and Todd Westfall of Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Allen of Kilgore, Texas; her grandchildren, Brittney Campos and husband William, Bradley Good and wife Barbara, Ashley Simon and husband Jason, Kaitley Good, Lilly Westfall and Mauricio Cortez; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Anita devoted the majority of her life to raising her children and caring for the home. Those who knew her best will remember her remarkable green thumb. She had a deep love for plants, flowers and blooming trees. She truly could make anything grow. The vegetable garden always included a few special rows dedicated just to flowers, which she lovingly cut and arranged, often bringing bouquets to church.

We know she is in the arms of Jesus and is having a reunion that we can only imagine – surrounded by those who have gone before her, in a place more radiant than the loveliest garden she ever tended.

Funeral and visitation were held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home at 355 Capitol Street in Many, Louisiana. Jason Simon officiated the services. Graveside service immediately followed at Florien Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bradley Good, William Campos, Troy Benthall, Rudy Good, Tye Allen and Mauricio Cortez.
