Charlotte Ann Weynandt

Funeral services for Charlotte Ann Weynandt, 74, of Katy, Texas were held on November 30, 2019 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Charlotte Ann Weynandt was born on Monday, December 11, 1944 in Many. She passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 in Katy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ray Weynandt by two years.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Holt; sons, Keith Weynandt of Katy, Texas, Andrew Weynandt of Tacoma, Washington; and grandson, Justin Weynandt of Katy Texas.

Gerald Carter Beasley

Gerald was born on January 16th 1950 at Frasier Hospital in Many Louisiana to G.A. “Buddy” & Lanell Beasley. He was the oldest of five children. His siblings were Richard, Bill, Steve & Kim.

Gerald began school at Negreet, had an interim in Chester, Montana & finished up at Many High School. Soon after graduating from Many High School, Gerald served in the United States Army.

He was an innovative and hard-working man, and after completing his term in the army, Gerald began a career in the Oil & Gas industry that carried him all around the world in many different capacities and spanned close to 50 years, touching thousands of people’s lives. Even today it’s not an uncommon thing to randomly encounter someone in a remote corner of the world that has either met or worked with him somewhere along the way.

Graveside services honoring the life of Billy Bray were held on November 15, 2019 at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Zwolle. Brother Jim Phaut officiated the service.

Billy G. Bray was born February 4, 1934 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Kelsie Cade Bray, Sr. and Leatha Windham Bray and passed away peacefully on November 12, 2019 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Bill received an Associate of Agriculture from Eastern Oklahoma State College. He served his country during the Korean War and later became a successful entrepreneur. He loved the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 51 years, Ida Bray; son, Bryan Bray, and brother, Kelsie Bray, Jr.

Bill is survived by son, Michael Bray; daughters, Cheryl Collins and Bonnie Rothenberger; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Kimmell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Rhonda Sue Holycross, 67, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St John The Baptist Cemetery with Deacon Mike Sullivan officiating. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 10:30 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.

Rhonda Sue Holycross was born on Sunday, June 15, 1952 in Many, LA. She passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 in Many, LA.

Douglas Eugene Arthur

Douglas Arthur, 76, of Milam, Texas passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at his residence.

Doug was born in Shreveport on January 30, 1943 to Boston Arthur and Isabelle “Alice” Bass Arthur. He was a graduate of Negreet High School and he worked as a truckdriver, or as he preferred to say, “Owner/Operator of a Truck” for 46 years.

Doug was raised in Negreet, Louisiana and later moved to Denham Springs, Louisiana where he and his family resided for 36 years. He and his wife, Fay, then moved to Milam where they have lived for the past 25 years. He was a member of Geneva Baptist Church. He was also a Master Mason in Louisiana.

He liked to watch football and basketball and he loved playing guitar and singing for the Sabine River Troubadours.

James Jagneaux

James Jagneaux

James Jagneaux, 82, passed away on November 7, 2019 after a battle with lung cancer.

Funeral services were held on November 9, 2019 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 124 Fellowship Circle, Converse with Brother Weyland Gauntt officiating. Interment was held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse.

James was born on June 24, 1937 in China, Texas. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a longtime automobile dealer. He has owned Triple J Motors in Mansfield, LA since 1981. Since his retirement, his sons have continued to operate the business.

Mr. Jagneaux loved horses and always surrounded himself with them. He was a very compassionate person and loved to help others. You could call him day or night and he would drop everything to come to your aid.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauline Jagneaux; and two brothers, Alvin Jagneaux and George Jagneaux.

A good man has left this life. Norman D. Blackman passed away on October 31st, 2019. A native of Many, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Norman enjoyed driving his dune buggy offroad, flying his ultralight, and riding his motorcycle. He loved going fast. He was a retired partner with Carroll & Blackman, Inc. an engineering business . Norman was the current General Manager of Orange County Water Control & Improvement District #1 (OCWC & I Dist. 1). Norman was preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Delila Blackman, and son Steven Blackman. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Blackman; son, Jason Ponder; daughter, Stephanie Ponder; granddaughters, Katie Blackman and Kayla Ponder; sister, Rita Blackman-Bailey; brother-in-law, Jeff Bailey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Norman Blackman will be missed forever by those who knew and loved him.

Preston Rachal was born on March 18, 1936 and passed away on September 30, 2019. Preston was the youngest of 10 children born in Natchitoches, Louisiana to John Blanchard Rachal and Laura LaCaze. His parents only spoke French so Preston’s first language was French but soon learned English when he started school. His father died when he was 6 and his mother died when he was 12. He went to Many High School in Many, LA where he played and starred in football and basketball. Preston graduated Many High School in 1955. After High School, he moved to Beaumont to attend college. He met the love of his life, Emma while living there. They married in 1958 and he soon started his banking career with American National Bank. He worked several banks in S.E. Texas. He was President of 1st Texas bank in Vidor, Texas for 5 years. He moved back to Security Bank in Anahuac and worked a total of 20 years, and served as President until he retired in 2005.
