Graveside services for Shirley Bugg, 82, of Many, were held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Ft. Jesup Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Davis officiating and Gary Sliman delivering the eulogy.

Shirley Bugg was born on Tuesday, March 1, 1938 in Natchitoches. She passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernuis “Bill” Bugg; parents, Henry Self and Ora Lee (Stephens) Self; granddaughter, Brittany Pearsall; brothers, Wayne Self and Rodney Self; and her son-in-law, Harold Pearsall.

Gwendolyn Neal Migues

Gwendolyn Migues went to meet Jesus on December 2nd, 2020 after living a full life. Funeral services were held Monday, December 7, 2020 at Progress Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Hill with Brother Steve Turner officiating and Pastor Drake Barnhill assisting. She was born in Pleasant Hill on September 30, 1921. She worked and retired from Amoco after 40 plus years of service. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Leonard Migues and son, Philip Migues.

Gwen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Tom Reavis of Pleasant Hill. She is also survived by her brothers and sister, M.B. and Kitzia Gewin of Zichron, Ya’akov, Israel; Jack and Kathleen Gewin of Issaquah, Washington; Clarence and Carolyn Gewin of Pleasant Hill; Paul and Mildred Gewin of Many; and Peggy Boschert of St. Charles, Missouri.

Ella Fay Oxley

Funeral services for Ella Fay Oxley, 77, of Many, were held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Emmanuel Gospel Church with Rev. Howard Pennington and Rev. Clinton Alford officiating. Burial followed in the Warren Cemetery.

Ella Fay Oxley was born on Saturday, February 6, 1943 in Elaine, Arkansas. She passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at her residence in Many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Stewart and Udell (Oliver) Stewart; husband, Aubrey Oxley; grandson, Zackary Rhame; and her great grandson, Matthew Buxton.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Petty and husband Wayne of Leesville; sons, Rickey Oxley of Many; Lynn Oxley of Many; and Mark Oxley and wife Stephanie of Many; sister, Jewel Whale of Washington; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Oxley of Many; brother, William “Buddy” Stewart of Many; special friend, Aline Whitaker of Many; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Jacob Austin Patton

Celebration of Life services for Jacob Patton will be held at Pendleton Assembly of God Church, 14152 Texas Hwy. Many on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10 AM.

Jacob Austin Patton was born on November 7, 1999 in Atlanta, Texas. He was taken from us way to soon in an untimely death on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the tender age of 21. He grew up and enjoyed most of his life in and around Sabine Parish.

Norma Lea Russell

Norma Russell was born on May 4, 1934 and passed from this life Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Services were held on Saturday, November 28th at the church with Bro. Bobbye Russell and Bro. Louis Slaughter officiating. Interment followed in Warren Cemetery. Norma is survived by four sons, Bryan and wife Fonda; Bobbye and wife Linda; Mark and wife Pam; Donald and wife Cheryl; daughter, Billie Kay Stinson and husband David; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; eighteen step-great grandchildren; one brother, Willie and wife Mary Edwards of Joaquin, Texas; a special sister-in-law, Kirby Hayes of Shreveport; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gussie Edwards; husband, Rev. Billie Russell; sister, Myrtle Coleman; great-grandson, Hayden Russell; and step-great-grandsons, Abram Lucas Smith and Tory Rainer.

Ralph Carlos Jones

Ralph Jones, 81, of Many went on to glory on November 28, 2020. He was born in Florien on March 30, 1939. Graveside services were held on Monday, November 30th with Bro. Wade Penfield officiating. Services will be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery. Ralph graduated from Florien High School in 1957 on the same night his girlfriend and wife of 62 years, Sharon Dale Jenkins Jones graduated from Negreet. Ralph was a hard worker from the beginning, hauling pulp wood, working a dairy farm and chicken houses and finally becoming an expert electrician and plumber. He loved to learn how things work, collect junk that he might need some day, and most importantly, his family. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Audie Jones; brothers, Bo Jones and Glynn Jones; and sister, Joan Pilcher.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Michael Alan Rivers was born on Monday, September 9, 1963 in Shreveport. He passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gene Rivers; nephew, Randal Rivers, Jr.; uncle, Willie Laroue; maternal grandparents, Ida Mae Laroue and Tony Earl Sepulvado; paternal grandparents, Ethel Laroue and Sam Henry Rivers.

Funeral services for Troy Gaddis, 87, of Pleasant Hill, were held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Spring Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Glynn Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Spring Ridge Cemetery. Troy Clyde Gaddis was born on Saturday, April 1, 1933 in Converse. He passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at V.A. Medical Center in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Wise Gaddis; sister, Marie Manning; grandparents, Carter Jefferson and Lucy Eudora Gaddis; and his aunt and uncle, Jess and Eunice Gaddis. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Mills and husband Les of Pleasant Hill; Holly Scott and husband Lance of Mandeville; sons, Troy “Chuck” Clyde Gaddis Jr.

Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Marilyn Laroux was born on Friday, January 15, 1943 in Gas City, Indiana. She passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 in the presence of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Reynolds; two sisters, Lois Shockey and Marlene Crotts; and her granddaughter, Heather Meshell. She is survived by her husband, Allen Laroux of Zwolle; sons, Greg Laroux and wife Donna of Bossier City; Rodney Laroux and wife Tamara of Spring, Texas; daughter, Tracy Laroux of Zwolle; brother, Robert Reynolds, Jr.

Austin Lee Moss

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Austin Moss were held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Many Chapel with Brother Buddy Freeman officiating; interment immediately followed at Moss Cemetery in Natchitoches. Austin was born March 11, 1996 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Melissa Darlene (Lowe) Gomez and Wilmar Ray Moss and he entered into rest on November 20, 2020 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Hardy and Frances Lowe; grandfather, Oren Moss; sister, LaTasha Jean Lowe; and his aunt, Angela Lindsey. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Wilmar Moss and Jennifer of Florien; mother, Melissa (Lowe) Gomez and husband, Jesus of Hemphill, Texas; fiancé, Jessica Harris of Geneva, Texas; son, Remey Lee Moss; step-daughter, Julia Harris; sister, Kelci Moss Benton and husband, Dylan of Louisville, Mississippi; brothers, Oren Ray Moss of Hemphill, Texas; Emory Gustauve Esponge of Hemphill, Texas.
