Alex Wayne Stewart

Alex Stewart was born into a loving Christian home on August 29, 1937, in Florien. He went on to be with the Lord on September 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Erwin Stewart; three daughters, Sheree Stewart Dockens (husband, Ronald); Shelley Stewart; Shanna Stewart Green (husband, Reggie); four grandchildren, Caleb Dockens (wife, Elizabeth); Rachel Dockens Adams (husband, Jacob); Christopher Burnell; and Anna Green; two great grandchildren, Everly Adams; and James Dockens.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Stewart and Leona Corley Stewart; two brothers, Horace Stewart (wife, Shirley); Kenneth Stewart (wife, Iva); one sister, Marie Lee (husband, Clifton). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Charlotte Constable, 69, of Robeline will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Anthony and Rev. Dean Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many.

Charlotte Walraven Constable was born on Monday, November 5, 1951 in Zwolle. She passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Constable, Jr.; parents, Robert William Walraven and Linnie Lauella (Rutherford) Walraven; three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services for Ernest Constable, Jr. 74, of Robeline were held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Old Pisgah Cemetery.

Ernest Constable, Jr. was born on Wednesday, October 16, 1946 in Many. He passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Lenard Constable, Sr. and Jo Evelyn (Davis) Constable.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Constable of Robeline; children, Shana Jones and husband Jim of Houston, Texas; Bernard Martinez and wife Misty of Many; Chad Martinez and wife April of Natchitoches; sister, Faye Cornwell and husband Forest of Shreveport; grandchildren, Grady Jones; Emmy Jones; Molly Jones; Shelbie Martinez; Kirsten Martinez; and Preston Martinez; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Dalton Ezernack, 82, entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2021, in Zwolle. Dalton was born on June 10, 1939, in Shreveport to Abram Ezernack and Lela Roberta Meshell Ezernack.

Preceding Dalton in death are his parents, Abram and Lela Ezernack; brother, Gary Wayne Ezernack; daughter, Sharon Ezernack Remedies; granddaughter, Kristen Etheridge; and sister-in-law, Elsie Ezernack.

Roger Dale “RD” Winfree

Funeral services honoring the life of Roger Dale “RD” Winfree, 70, were held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St., Mansfield. Burial followed at Converse Cemetery in Converse. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jimmy Price and Reverend David Scott.

Roger Dale was born on July 28, 1951 to Winnie Lee Shoalmire in Converse and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2021 in Mansfield.

Roger Dale Winfree was a resident of Converse and worked as a carpenter for many years of his life. Most days, when the weather was nice, you could find him in a boat Fishing, as that was his favorite pastime. Roger Dale also enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his loving friends and family.

Helen Speight, 91, entered into eternal rest on September 22, 2021, in Many. She was born on August 4, 1930, in Hardin, Illinois to Jim Stabler and Cassie Lewing Harper Stabler.

Graveside services honoring her life were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, located at Speight Cemetery in Many. Officiating the service will be Bro. Brad Forrest with Bro. Jimmy Speight assisting.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Speight; parents, Jim and Cassie Stabler; brother, James Hendrickson and wife Ewellava; sister, Sue Speight and husband C.W.; special son, Gary Arthur; son-in-law, Gary Petit; brother-in-law, Clayten Dowden; grandson, Brandon Petit; great-granddaughter, Brittany Taylor Snider; special grandson, Christian Farrell.

Linda Dianne Laroux was born on Wednesday, May 14, 1958 in Zwolle. She passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in Shreveport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise (Parrie) Leone; husband, Patrick Leroy Laroux; brothers, Johnny Ray Leone; Carl Dean Leone; sisters, Judy Gail Leone and Sandra Leone Dyer; nephew, Michael Dewayne Leone; niece, Sheila Leone Dockens.

Charlotte Webb Wilburn

Charlotte Webb Wilburn

Funeral services for Charlotte Webb Wilburn, 93, of Pelican, were on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield. A graveside service immediately followed at the Pelican Cemetery.

Charlotte was born on February 22, 1928 to Corrie and Rena Webb. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on September 17, 2021.

After graduating valedictorian from Noble High School, Charlotte worked at the Southern Bell Telephone Office in Mansfield. During that time, she was set up on a double date with Burnis Wilburn through mutual friends. Charlotte and Burnis married just months later and spent 72 sweet years together. Meme was a stay-at-home mom until her children were in high school and then went to work as the Assistant Postmaster in Pelican. She was soon promoted to Head Postmaster in Pelican, where she worked for 23 years before retiring.

Gordon Lee Anthony

Gordon Anthony, 95, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Many. Gordon was born November 18, 1925, sixth of six sons born to Hoy Anthony and Ophelia Pilcher Anthony. He also had four brothers born to Hoy Anthony and Zelma Blackwell Anthony and two step-sisters, Juanita Delatin Blackwell and Betty Jean DeLatin Hopkins Lafitte. He attended Florien High School until the tenth grade when he dropped out of school to help his ailing father plant, cultivate and harvest cotton. He was drafted into the Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He earned two Bronze Stars, several service ribbons, and was awarded the French Legion of Honor medal in 2017, given to foreign soldiers who served in at least two of the major campaigns on French soil.

Betty Jo Walker Oxley passed away peacefully in her home September 13, 2021. She was 85. She is survived by her children, Terri Acklin (Ansel); Laura Ford (Dale); Colleen Crow (Chad); Jakey Oxley (Kristy McComic); and Jarrett Rule (Jamie); twelve grandchildren, Heather; Holly; Emmy; Tyler; Hunter; Josh; Logan; Karley; Jacob; Cameron; Walker; and Macy; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Wynn (WJ) of Hemphill, Texas; and Sarah Pilcher (Charles) of Many; and one brother, Benny Walker (Joy) of Milam, Texas; She also had two precious caregivers: Brandee Arnold and Brenda Nelson.

She is preceded in death by twin infant sons, Johnny Walker and Jackie Rebert; one daughter, Diane Oxley Thomas; and two brothers, Donnie Walker and J.C. Walker, Jr.;
