Robert Stanley “Stan” Self

Funeral services for Robert Stanley Self, 73, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Warren and Tom Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Robert Stanley Self was born on Wednesday, December 28, 1949 in Zwolle, LA. He passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 in Shreveport, LA. Stan served his country in the United States Army and was also in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Self and Opal (Jones) Self and sister, Bonnie Self Shaw.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Keys Self of Many, LA; son, Scott Self and wife Trish of Marrero, LA; daughter, Kristi Leach and husband Jarrod of Ft. Jesup, LA; siblings: Monroe Self and wife Wilma, Lorene Self, Dianne Pelow, Lee E. Self and wife Patsy, Jimmy Self, Katherine Tallman and Connie Self Matkin and husband Roger; grandchildren: Kaley Leach, Taylor Farmer, Ashton Self and Garrett Leach; greatgrandchildren: Wesley Farmer, Kaislee Carter, Neely Farmer and Amelia Leach; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Garrett Leach, Kevin Hopkins, Ray McComic, Jason Vines, Brady Browning and Tanner Browning.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Townsend, Steve Mitchell, Michael Albarado, Jimmy Leach, Wesley Farmer, Ashton Self, Craeton Manasco, Jarrod Leach, Jarrett Davis and Tom Burnett.
