Valerie Ann Shelton Dunn

A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Valerie Ann (Shelton) Dunn, 61 of Many, Louisiana on Saturday, October 7, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, Louisiana 71449, with Bro. Kenneth Leach officiating with Craig Jon Miller assisting. A visitation for Mrs. Dunn will be held at the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. She was born on May 23, 1962, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Robert Allen Shelton and Ruthie Ann (Holloway) Shelton Colburn and she passed away on October 4, 2023, in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Preceding her in death are her father, Robert Allen Shelton; her son, Derrick Earl Dunn, and brother, Roger Wayne Shelton. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Leonard Earl Dunn of Many, LA; her mother, Ruthie Ann Shelton Colburn & husband, Kenny of Many, LA; her daughter, Maranda Dunn & fiancé, Craig Jon Miller of Anadarko, OK, her daughter, Brianna Gayle Dunn of Bossier City, LA; her sister, Beverly Joy Lockwood & husband, Rex of Lawrence, KS; her brother, Robert “Bob” Shelton & wife, Judy of Many, LA, her brother, Marty Shelton & wife, Pam of Forest, LA; her grandchildren, Ryan Allen Broome and Kayden Derrick Broome; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

She was a grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening in her flower beds. She had a personality that was out of this world, she never met a stranger, and she was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother to all of her loved ones. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her!
