Services celebrating the life of Hazel Lehr will be held at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, 355 South Capitol St., Many, Louisiana, on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11AM officiated by Bro. Buck Furlow. Visitation for friends and family will immediately precede the service from 9-11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bayou Scie Cemetery in Zwolle.

Mrs. Lehr was born on October 13, 1945, in Many, Louisiana, to her parents, William Edward and Hazel Oree Neal Ritter. She passed away on September 1, 2023 in Zwolle. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Darrell Lehr; sons, Carlton Ray Lehr and Byron Edward Lehr and siblings, Mildred Ritter, Charles Ritter and Wanda Sue Peshoff. She is survived by siblings, Billie Ritter Whitfield, Michael Ritter and Kenneth Ritter, and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Marcille graduated from Many High School. For many years she was a faithful member of Bayou Scie United Methodist Church, although in the last few years she returned to her former church, Bethsadia Baptist Church. Marcille worked many years at People State Bank and later in Dr. Miller’s office in Zwolle. She and husband Darrell also operated their own cleaning business.

The family would like to thank each and every employee of Toledo Retirement and Rehabilitation Center for loving on our sister since the center became her home last December. You were her second family and there on her good and her bad days. How she loved it when you brought your children and grandchildren to visit her! Even on her last day, so many of you stuck your head in her door to check on “Mrs. Hazel”. We will be eternally grateful for your kindness to her and to her family.

Honoring Marcille as pallbearers are nephews, Guy Whitfield, Jr., Forrest Dew, Roger Dew, Jerry Dew, Joey Peshoff and Chad Peshoff.

Honorary Pallbearer: Danny Ritter What a glorious reunion was had last Friday when Marcille reached her heavenly home.
