Funeral services for Joan Brandon, 88 of Zwolle, Louisiana, will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Zwolle Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 11, 2023, starting at 3:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle.

Joan Dolores Ezernack Brandon was born on Friday, August 31, 1934, in Zwolle, Louisiana. She passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, Louisiana. Joan was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She lived the majority of her life in Hurricane Valley and was praised by her grandchildren for being the best cook around. She was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle and never missed Mass.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Earl Brandon, her parents, Joseph and Evelyn Ezernack, four brothers, and four sisters.

She was survived by her children, Sharon Brandon DeWitt and husband Johnny of Shreveport, LA; Mike Brandon and wife Tatiana of Zwolle, LA; Ronald Brandon and wife Pollie of Many, LA; and Karen Brandon Stonecipher and husband Roger of Athens, GA; twelve grandchildren, Jason DeWitt and wife Jessica of Westminster, CO; Dr. Meredith Wooster and husband Kris of Shreveport, LA; Chris Brandon and wife Deana of DeRidder, LA; Nina Brandon Brown of Zwolle, LA; Rory Brandon and wife Brianna of Zwolle, LA; Heath Brandon of Many, LA; Jarred Brandon of Many, LA; Sam Brandon of New Orleans, LA; Aaron Stonecipher and fiancé Libby of Chicago, IL; Chandler Stonecipher and fiancé Emily of New Orleans, LA; Christian Stonecipher of Athens, GA; and Ainslee Stonecipher of Athens, GA; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her sister Margie Guidroz of Port Neches, TX; and friends very dear to her heart, Stanley and Liz Brandon of Many, LA.

Serving as her pallbearers are Terry Brandon, Josh Brandon, Buddy Brandon, Danny Roberts, Joey Procell, and Darryl Dyess.

Serving has her honorary pallbearers are her grandsons, Jason DeWitt, Chris Brandon, Rory Brandon, Heath Brandon, Jarred Brandon, Sam Brandon, Aaron Stonecipher, Chandler Stonecipher, and Christian Stonecipher.
