Delbert Terry officiating. Visitation will be held at the Many Church of the Nazarene, beginning at 11:00 am until time of the service. Interment will follow in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery.

Eva Terry Lowe was born December 15, 1927, in Bivens, TX. She went home to be with her Lord on January 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Winston Perry “Mike” Lowe; her parents, Willie and Susie Owens Terry; brothers Houston Terry, Delbert Terry, Clyde Terry, Jim Terry, and William Terry; and sisters Sally Brumley, Reba Grisham, Roberta Brumley, Theo Holt, and Ouida Colley.

Sister Lowe was a devoted pastor’s wife for more than 50 years and across seven pastorates in Louisiana and New Jersey. She faithfully supported her husband’s ministry while also serving the Lord through her own ministries of selfless service. One ministry she enjoyed for six years after retirement was baking banana bread for shut-ins. According to Eva’s journal, she made over 4,000 loaves.

Raised through the Great Depression as one of twelve children before spending a lifetime as a pastor’s wife and mother to five, Eva’s life was rarely easy. But her unwavering trust in God, unending love for her family, and unflinching ability to meet hard times with harder work made sure that her family’s needs never went unmet.

Eva was resourceful, headstrong, and a pillar of her community. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her brother Reed Terry and wife Melinda of Blanchard, LA; her children Rev. Daniel Lowe and wife Agatha of Many, LA, Jewel Corley and husband Ed of Florien, LA, Nancy Lambert and husband Philip of Many, LA, Bonnie Fogger and husband Glen of Ruston, LA, and Roger Lowe of Towson, MD; her grandchildren Danielle Lowe of Robeline, LA, Perry Lowe and Whitney of Lowell, AR, Nathan Corley and wife Whitney of Albany, LA, Jim Corley and wife Kaylin of Conroe, TX, Jenni Breaux and husband Kaleb of Melissa, TX, Katie Cook and husband Brant of Pineville, LA, Thomas Fogger of West Jefferson, NC, Cassandra Guillot of Bryant, AR, Dr. Steven Fogger of Vacaville, CA, and Laura Fogger of Raleigh, NC; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to extend a special, heartfelt gratitude to Lonnie Rowe, Eva’s caregiver and dear friend for five years, without missing a day. Lonnie not only cared about Eva, but she cared for the rest of the family as well. Mrs. Lonnie has truly become a part of the family.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Many Healthcare North. Each person assigned to Eva loved and cared for her during her last five months of life, but two went above and beyond their duties. Tameka Walker and Orangie Gosey spent countless afternoons or mornings visiting with Eva when they were off the clock. Both of these ladies stayed until after 10 pm on the day of Eva’s home-going to walk with her and her family as she made her final exit. Eva might not have always had a smile for her family, but when she saw or heard Orangie or Tameka, she usually mustered her strength to smile and tell them “I love you.” Eva’s family is also grateful for the great love and care shown to her by Dustin McCullough and Wendy Miller, her hospice nurses.

Serving as pallbearers are Kaleb Breaux, Peyton Brown, Ayden Brown, Brant Cook, Jim Corley, Nathan Corley, Brady Lewing, and Perry Lowe.
