Henrietta Remedies Blake

Henrietta Blake gained her wings surrounded by her loved ones December 8th, 2022 at 81 years old. She was born August 30th, 1941 in Zwolle, LA to Henry Remedies and Clara Parrie Remedies. Rietta, as most knew her, was an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Zwolle, La. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, member of the choir, Youth Coordinator, Captain of St Martha’s Circle for many years, and later received the Certified Catechist Award by the Diocese of Shreveport. Rietta was a licensed beautician since 1971 and was the owner of Rietta’s Beauty Shop located in Zwolle, La. She devoted her whole life to her faith, community service, caring for children, and her family.

Visitation for Henrietta will be Sunday December 11th, 2022 starting at 5pm and all day Monday December 12th, 2022 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle, LA. Funeral service will be Tuesday December 13th, 2022 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, LA at 10 am by Father Keith.

Ms. Blake is preceeded into death by: her parents Henry Remedies and Clara Parrie Remedies; sister Annie Ruth Sepulvado and husband Dick Sepulvado; sister Majorie Park and husband Lum Park; niece Patricia Campbell and husband Larry Campbell; niece Brenda Sepeda; and nephews Kenny Sepulvado and Michael Sepeda Henrietta is survived by her son Gerald Patrick Walters of Zwolle, La; daughter Jennifer A Evans and husband Tim Evans Sr of Zwolle, La; her grandchildren: Henry Kyle Crittenden and wife Megan Parker Crittenden of Noble, La; Lauren Gentry Thompson and husband Skylar Thompson of Many, La; and Nicholas Evans of Zwolle, LA; her great-grandchildren: Brett Crittenden, Parker Crittenden, Easton Thompson, and Ares Thompson; and host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and friends The family would like to thank Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation, Sabine Medical Center, and their staff for the love and care they gave Ms. Henrietta Blake.
